PEDS, a nonprofit, member-based advocacy organization dedicated to making metro Atlanta safe and accessible for all pedestrians, is seeking a Pedestrian Safety Program Manager. The position will educate transportation and law enforcement professionals, the media, and the general public about pedestrian safety problems and solutions by organizing and participating in meetings, workshops and media-generating events.
At least two years of experience working with external partners, such as government agencies, the media and neighborhood associations is required. Requirements are Experience managing special events or workshops and experience working collaboratively and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience maintaining websites and fluency with social media is desirable. Experience with advocacy and community-level interventions is desirable. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration or Education is a plus.
