Anuvia Prevention & Recovery Center has 4 positions available in the Prevention Department, of which 3 are full-time and 1 is part-time.
Some specifics for each position are as follows: Prevention Assistant (PT) to facilitate prevention services for delinquent youth and their families. Prevention Specialist (FT) to be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating prevention programming and providing training and technical assistance to support a framework for effective substance abuse prevention in communities throughout the western region of North Carolina. This position requires experience with community-based processes and environmental strategies. The position will also include periodic travel to communities in the western portion of North Carolina. Prevention Specialist (FT) to be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating prevention programming in school and community-based settings. The position will provide services for a variety of populations, including female youth, addressing multiple substance abuse-related issues. Prevention Specialist (FT) to be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating prevention programming, including incorporating policy change and advocacy strategies.
The successful candidates should have experience with substance abuse prevention and possess at least a bachelor’s degree in public health, health education, or related field. Also required are strong interpersonal, oral communication, and written skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office.
