UNC Department of Epidemiology, Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is offering two postdoctoral positions.**

  1. UNC Postdoctoral Position on Human Papillomavirus Research in Men Postdoctoral position available immediately in research related to male circumcision and HPV infection in men in collaboration with Dr. Jennifer S. Smith, PhD, MPH, Associate Professor of Research. Requirements: Doctoral degree in Epidemiology or other public health field. Successful candidate is expected to work with the PI and other study collaborators, including biostatisticians, on the writing of manuscripts of research data from a randomized controlled trial of HPV and male circumcision conducted in Kisumu, Kenya. The postdoctoral candidate will be expected to work with the PI on this and other HPV-related projects, and prepare research manuscripts for publication in international peer-reviewed journals.

  2. UNC Postdoctoral Position for Cervical Cancer-Free America Postdoctoral position available immediately in research related to cervical cancer screening and HPV vaccination in the United States as part of Cervical Cancer-Free America (http://www.cervicalcancerfreeamerica.org), in collaboration with Dr. Jennifer S. Smith, PhD, MPH, Associate Professor of Research.

Requirements: Doctoral degree in Epidemiology or other public health field. Successful candidate is expected to work with the Project Investigator (PI) to analyze national U.S. data on cervical cancer screening and HPV vaccination, and publish research findings. Candidates will also assist with publication of cost-effectiveness study data, lead IRB application processes, and support grant-writing efforts. The postdoctoral candidate will be expected to work with the PI to prepare research manuscripts for publication in international peer-reviewed journals.
