About the position: The Foundation is seeking a senior program officer to work with the Vulnerable Populations Portfolio. This Portfolio addresses how complex social factors (poverty, education, and housing) affect people's health, and develops solutions within that context. About: The Institute for Prevention Research (IPR) and the Department of Preventive Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California invites applications for a full-time position(s) at the associate professor or professor level. IPR includes faculty who conduct research on disease prevention with particular emphasis on risk behaviors among youth and families including substance use, obesity. IPR is well known for the conduct of large community and school based field trials. About: The Healthy Eating Coordinator position will develop partnerships and resources for use at the state and community level to increase and promote healthy food options via convenience stores and farm to consumer outlets (farmers markets, mobile markets and CSAs). They will work collaboratively with other CTG and CDIS staff to provide technical assistance to CTG funded communities in these focus areas and assist in project evaluation. The will also collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to build support for policy and systems changes at the state level to increase and promote healthy food options in convenience stores and support farmers markets.
