About: The Program in Human Nutrition in the Department of International Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is recruiting a full time tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The program has a strong focus in its research on nutritional problems in low and middle income countries, especially addressing micronutrient deficiencies and their role in maternal and child health, function and survival, promoting normal child growth and development, and in preventing chronic disease, including obesity, through diet, physical activity, and environmental change. Working within a multidisciplinary setting, the new faculty member will be expected to establish an independent research program on the roles of diet and other nutrition interventions in influencing child development, including growth, cognition and behavior. The Department has on-going nutrition and health investigations in multiple cultural settings through which the successful applicant will have opportunities to build and lead this agenda.
