The global pharmaceutical market is characterized by the coexistence of varying standards of quality. A large majority of the people in countries with limited resources runs the risk of receiving or buying poor quality products either being counterfeited or substandard. QUAMED is a network of non-profit actors involved in the procurement of medicines. Quamed is hosted by the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp, Belgium (ITM) (www.quamed.org). The partners of QUAMED have committed to address this concern and are strengthening their capabilities to procure and deliver quality medicines to their beneficiaries through a program. The ITM will contribute to this program by carrying out the technical support. QUAMED and the ITM’s Unit of Health Policy are looking for a program manager.
