The person in this position will perform a variety of duties involved in collecting, documenting and managing data for a study examining infant growth and development in the first year of life. The job involves in person, phone, and written contact with study participants (new moms and infants) for the purpose of conducting a variety of assessments including anthropometrics, developmental screenings, and interviews. The data technician will also manage participant files and payment, schedule study visits, conduct data entry, and provide general support of the research team. The person in this position should have excellent communication skills, be comfortable working as part of a diverse team, have experience working with infants, and familiarity with research and data collection methods. This position requires some evening/weekend time and access to a car, all mileage will be reimbursed. The candidate will be expected to travel almost daily by car to participants homes in the greater Durham area to conduct assessments of infants in their homes. Bachelor’s degree required and research experience and facility with MS Access is preferred. TWO full time positions.
