About: The University of Idaho Coordinated Program in Dietetics invites applications for a tenure track position starting Fall of 2012. The coordinated program in dietetics is one of five programs in the School of Family and Consumer Sciences in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. The University of Idaho is located in Moscow, Idaho. The UI dietetics program has a community emphasis, providing many experiences for their dietetics students, and it is cutting edge with the use of dietetic simulation. Numerous opportunities are available for research support and funding to include internal grants and community partnerships. The position is responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, directing master’s theses, developing and maintaining a research agenda, advising undergraduate and graduate students, collaboration on grants and scholarly writing, and service to the determent, college, and university.

What: The Department of Prevention and Community Health in The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services is seeking up to two energetic, resourceful scholars to serve as faculty members in the Maternal and Child Health program at the assistant or associate professor level, depending on experience and qualifications. The positions are for full-time, 12-month, tenure-accruing faculty appointments.
Description: The Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a research facility of the Louisiana State University System, is seeking a full time Postdoctoral Researcher to study clinical and population level walking behaviors across the lifespan and disease conditions including obesity. The primary responsibilities associated with this position are: 1) assistance in conducting complex statistical analyses of population datasets, 2) conducting research clinical intervention studies, and 3) preparation of research grant applications and research papers. It is anticipated that over the course of two years, the incumbent of this position will develop independent research projects related to the epidemiology of walking behavior, obesity and health. The Pennington Biomedical Research Center offers a rich collegial research environment with state-of-the-art facilities for computing and the statistical analysis of large, complex datasets. A distinguished list of faculty is involved in such research studies at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center of the Louisiana State University System.
